- Herman Mentz Added January 14, 2019★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆I have been doing intermittent work in Bateman's bay and I have been a loyal customer to Crumb every time I am in town. I have never been greeted courteously. It always seems they are rushing to close when I arrive in my lunch break just after 1 pm. I am not certain why you would serve lunch if you want to close 1.30 promptly. I went to have lunch there on Saturday and was told they were too busy in the morning and are shutting early. I had lunch there today and they were so rushed they forgot to put chicken in my poached chicken salad. They then rushed me a bowl with dry pieces of chicken to "add to my salad". I won't be going back there. Their competitor shop 2 shops down has always been friendly, courteous and frankly actually remembers my face as a returning customer. I am utterly disappointed as I have actually recommended them to many people I know!
